Last month, the Icelandic-Chinese musician returned to Hong Kong to kick off the Asia leg of her "A Matter of Time" tour, walking the same streets she explored during childhood summers in the city where her mother once lived — only now as a two-time Grammy winner. In a world obsessed with algorithmic perfection and auto-tuned precision, Laufey has built hers on imperfection. "Art is born out of human error," she smiles. "So, whether it's the music or how I present myself, I've never been more interested in human imperfection. It's funny."
